FrontPage Express

Designing a page using Microsoft Front Page Express (FPX).
Part Two

Let's make a simple page to get started with.

We'll assume you've saved your blank page into the directory you're going to work in.

If you're using AOL, go to your My AOL icon and click on WWW and set your "Graphics" preference to show "uncompressed" images.

Grab this image by clicking on it, then save it as bkrnd.gif

This will serve as the background for the page we'll make.

On the FPX toolbar, click on Format and Background. To bring up the Page Properties dialog. Take a look at what's available under the various tabs. Under the General tab, you can set your page Title, so you don't have to edit the HTML to do that. Under the Background tab, you can set the background image, background color, Text color, Hyperlink, Visited Hyperlink and Active Hyperlink colors. Check the "Background Image" checkbox, as you see below, and click the Browse button. Browse to the directory where you have your page and bkrnd.gif image. Double click the bkrnd file to set it as your background.
