Here is a table of fonts and sizes that
work best with Microsoft Internet Explorer(MSIE). You can also add the strong and italic
codes to these font styles. Just make sure your tags are properly nested. <font face="verdana"><strong><i>Verdana bold italic text</i></strong></font>
The proper way to include the font tag in
your HTML is <FONT FACE="Comic Sans MS"
size="4">Then this text will be a
different font and size</FONT>.
In a table with MSIE you only need to put the <FONT FACE> tag before your
<TABLE> tag and a </FONT> after your </TABLE> tag. For Netscape,
you need to put the <FONT FACE> tags inside every table cell that you want to change.
Unfortunately in order for someone to see the
fonts you have specified, they have to have that font on their computer, so it's better to
stick with the more basic fonts that most people have. On many web pages what you think is
text is actually an image of text made in a paint program. If you're not sure about the
font, give more than one in your tag separated by a comma, <FONT FACE="Arial,Verdana,Times New Roman"> That gives three choices for your fonts to be displayed in. If the
computer being used to view your page doesn't have the first choice, it will default to
the second, then the third, etc.
